(my Louboutin's after a little editing and posing to make my legs look hot, of course)
After much debate, I finally decided that I could not ignore the desire to have my own blog any longer. After putting a whole 5 minutes of thought into it I decided that today would be the day I would enter the world of bloggers. After months of obsessing with other blogs (mostly about fashion or music and based in New York) I decided that even if no one else was interested in what was going on in my life at least I would have it documented (since I will one day be a household name and all). So, after finally decided to take the time out of my grueling schedule, which has for the past 3 weeks before I begin summer school consisted of nothing but sleeping in, laying out, re-reading the classics, and watching movies, to create my little masterpiece. I decided on naming my blog "A Little Louboutin" because, whether he knows it or not (and I'm quite sure he doesn't) Mr. Christian Louboutin kind of changed my life. This past Fall break my wonderful interiour designer Aunt allowed me to acompany her on what would be my first trip to the Big Apple. I have always been in love with fashion and fashion magazines, but never in my 20 years on this planet could I have prepared myself (or my Dad) for the can of worms that my little vaca was going to open. While my aunt was running around the city doing the things an interior designer would do I wandered around 5th, Madison, and Lexington Avenue, fell in love with SoHo and everything Upper East Side, and do not even get me started on Bergdorf's. Prior to my trip I pulled all of my finances together because I knew exactly what my first big purchase was going to be. After checking exactly how much graduation money I had left in my savings account and finally pulling some cash from my dad and grandparents I had just enough to purchase my little babies. My very first pair of simple but elegant black Christian Louboutin pumps. I assumed everyone would see how selective and smart I had been with my purchase... I mean black pumps are a staple, a classic, they will never go out of style, and you can practically wear them with anything (all of these arguments were lost on my father but oh' well he has an obsession with airplanes... not the cool ones that you can take trips in... the goofy, nerdy ones you build then crash in the backyard) So how fitting, I thought, that my very first blog be entitled after my very first trip to NYC and the shoes that sent me into a fashion obsession and haven't been the same since (but, I kind of like it).
XOXO,
Corey
